Step by step

Before you start though, remind yourself quickly of the steps you can take to build each groove:

1. Work out the position of all the notes.
2. Check your understanding by watching and listening to the relevant media files.
3. Start with the bass drum on its own.
4. Add the snare drum next.
5. Bring in the hi-hat.
6. Play slowly.
7. Count out loud.
