Developing rhythm and timekeeping (playing palm muted eighth notes, accents and different note values)

This exercise combines some of the different notes we have learned so far, together with the muting and un-muting rhythm guitar skills we have been developing. Additionally, we have a further chance to improve our ability to change chords.

Use the multimedia files, and pay attention to:

• your timekeeping;
• your playing of the accents and your muting of the strings;
• the smoothness of your chord changing; and
• the overall sound you are creating with the track.
