EMT Lesson Three  How to create and play chords

Beyond triads – four part harmony

In music there are many more chords than triads, although most chords are built on top of these triads – with major and minor being by far the most common.

Four part harmony involves creating chords with four notes rather than three. These four part harmony chords start with the triads you have learned to construct, and add on top the next interval of a third from our scale.
